The Cyprus Society of Medical Informatics is a non-profit organization that brings together Medical Doctors, Paramedical Professionals and Computer Scientists with a common interest in the promotion of the use of Telecommunications and Information Technology in the Health sector. The Society was chartered in July of 1997 and registered with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus in 1998 (Registry No 1873 of 30/1/1998).
